Shahed Warreth

Shahed Warreth (Libya/Ireland) is the Project Coordinator of VOX-Pol, an EU-funded programme researching violent online political extremism, where she was previously an Intern, and a Research Assistant. She is also a Research Fellow at the International Institute of Conflict Resolution and Reconstruction (IICRR) at Dublin City University (DCU). She received a B.A. in Politics and French (Joint Honours) from DCU. Shahed’s research to date has included social media companies’ responses to violent online political extremism; Kurdish activities on Twitter, and the Turkish government’s responses; and the relationship between Ulster loyalists and the British extreme right as demonstrated by their activity on Facebook, and their demonstrations offline.
